For those who are following the No Days Off Twitter and Instagram Feeds, you may have noticed me talking about the "No sugar, No Grains" diet. I picked this up from reading Vinnie Tortorich's book Fitness Confidential.

You may also recognize that book from our Fitness Book Club. I''m going to be talking a lot more about this book and the No Sugar, No Grains (NSNG) diet. After reading Vinnie's book I am on a mission to completely cut out grains and sugars from my diet.

What I ate on NSNG Sunday September 17th 2017

Breakfast

I love eggs so breakfast has been by far the easiest adjustment for me while on NSNG.

Here is what Breakfast was:

  • 3 scrambled eggs

  • 3 sliced of Bacon (i like it crispy)

  • 1/2 an Avocado

  • a handful of cucumber slices

  • Coffee with Cream

Mid Morning Snack

  • No mid morning snack for me (other than coffee) as my hunger pains have been going away since i started NSNG

If you are starting NSNG or just want some really easy REALLY delicious recipies that are low carb and low sugar, i Cannot reccomed the book Eat Happy by Anna Vocino check it out my clicking the picture below or click here if you live in Canada Click Here if you live in the UK click here

Lunch

  • 2 sausages

  • Side of Salad

  • 4 slices of cheese

Afternoon Snack/Post workout

  • 1/2 scoop of whey powder (trying to limit my protein powder)

  • handful of strawberries

  • small handful of blueberries

  • Ice & Water

Dinner

  • Roasted Chicken (using Anna's Recipe, a separate blog post coming on that shortly)

  • Cauliflower rice

  • 1/2 an avocado

Evening Snack

  • Handful of mixed nuts (Walnuts, Almonds & Pistachios)

  • Spoonful of organic Peanut Butter

I've been really enjoying my experience with NSNG, if you are thinking of starting it consult your healthcare professional before hand to ensure it makes sense for you. Again this is not advice, i'm only sharing what I have personally been trying.
